Even spacing, tight lines, cords run out of sight. It should look deliberate, not draped.

Straightforward pricing
Roofline lighting is priced by the foot, so you can work out roughly where you'll land before you ever pick up the phone. Everything beyond the roofline gets quoted on the property, because a hundred-year fir and a porch railing are not the same job.

Why local matters here
A-frames. Steep metal pitches. Cabins tucked so far into the firs you can't see the roofline from the road. Second storeys built into a slope, so a one-storey front is a three-storey back.
That's most of what's out here, and it's the reason a lot of homes up the corridor never get lit at all. It's also the work we actually want — and we know what they're like, because we live up here too.

I'm Kris. I spent more than 25 years in the ski industry on this mountain, most of it grooming, and I've called the Mt. Hood community home for about as long. Under Pressure Mt. Hood is my own thing now — exterior cleaning year round, holiday lights in the winter.
So I won't pretend there's a decade of Christmas installs behind me, or show you a wall of reviews I haven't earned yet. What I can tell you is that I know these houses, these roads and this weather, my name is on the truck, and you'll be dealing with me and not a call centre in another state.

How booking works
Fill in the form or call. Tell us the town and roughly what you want lit.
We measure the rooflines, walk the property, and give you a price. Free.
You tell us when you’d like them on. If that’s before Thanksgiving, say so early.
We'll confirm timing and access with you beforehand, then get it done.
Before you call
Roofline lighting starts at $8 per linear foot with a $500 minimum installation. Trees, walkways, railings and architectural features are quoted on the property. Book before September 30 and 10% comes off the whole job.
Our focus is Sandy and the Mt. Hood Corridor — Brightwood, Welches, Wemme, Rhododendron and Government Camp. We also cover Boring, Damascus, Gresham, Happy Valley, Corbett, Troutdale, Oregon City and Redland. If you're near the edge of that, ask anyway.
Two reasons. The 10% discount only applies to installs booked this month, and the late-November dates go first every year. Booking now costs you nothing but holds your slot.
You choose the date when you book. Tell us the week you’d like them on and we’ll fit you in — if you want the house lit for Thanksgiving, book early, because that end of November is what everyone asks for.
No. Lights are hung with clips made for the job. Nothing gets stapled, nailed or screwed into your roof, fascia or gutters.
Yes — Under Pressure is an exterior cleaning company year round: gutter cleaning, roof and moss care, house washing and pressure washing. Plenty of people get the gutters cleared and the lights hung on the same visit.
